Jon Stein has been the head tennis coach at McKinney North High School for 12 years. He has led the Bulldogs to over 325 wins since opening the school.

Under his guidance, the Bulldogs have won nine district titles and made 12 play-off appearances. He has led the North players to six individual state tournament berths, including back-to-back state championships in 2012 and 2013. And were 2014 state semifinalists.

Before coming to McKinney, Stein was a teaching pro at Hearthstone Country Club in Houston, Texas.

As a player, Stein was consistently ranked in the state’s top 30. As a collegiate player, he was a two-time All-American, a three-time Carroll Pickett Award winner, a four-time all-American Southwest Conference player, the Texoma athlete of the year, and reached a career-high NCAA national ranking of 16 in men’s singles.
